About The Position

Horsepower Automotive Group (HPAG) is seeking a Material Handler II for their warehouse operations in Chandler, AZ. This role is in a brand new, state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility. The Material Handler II will receive general instructions from a supervisor but is expected to work independently. The primary focus will be on receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, and products within the facility. HPAG offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefit package.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds.
  • Independently load and unload materials, check, assemble, and process documents, and route materials and equipment to correct locations or storage areas.
  • Knowledge and use of automated equipment such as optical readers, scanners, computer keyboards, to receive and transmit "pick and stow" data into a central computer.
  • Skilled at inventory data, access materials, and fill item requisitions.
  • Experience in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets.
  • Able to use pallet measuring gauges and automated devices to ensure that proper height, weight, and other load and storage requirements are met.
  • Regularly required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel shipping material.
  • Required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk and hear.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and an overall team player.

Responsibilities

  • Operating forklift, reach truck, and other general-purpose vehicles while performing routine operator maintenance.
  • Performing a wide variety of duties requiring specialized knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling.
  • Recording all movement of product on the appropriate forms.
  • Labeling skids for shipment, checking to ensure labels used have the correct Lot Number and Shipment Destination.
  • Picking customer orders accurately, consolidating and packing for shipment using the system tools provided.
  • Removing stock from warehousing areas, and properly arranging stock from production in the warehouse.
  • Loading and unloading trucks and containers, performing physical and systemic receiving functions.
  • Ensuring all areas worked in begin and end in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Performing all other duties related to this department.
