About The Position

The Material Handler I works under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor to carry out departmental responsibilities including order fulfillment (picking, packing, and shipping). This role requires the ability to efficiently pull and pack orders, stock items in correct locations using inventory management and barcode systems, and multitask while adhering to standard operating procedures. The target pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00 Hourly.

Requirements

High School degree or equivalent
Proven ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to solve general math problems encountered in day-to-day operations
Consistently displays attention to detail
Proficient in oral and written communications, both internally and externally
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a variety of situations
Beginner ability with Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Software and E-mail

Nice To Haves

Six months ‘ related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assigns orders to boxes ready to ship using barcode scanner
Picks proper item numbers and quantities per pick list
Uses barcode scanner to pack orders
Packs product in properly sized boxes
Prepares and packs products for shipment that require ice products in proper containers (Cold shipment)
Loads and unloads trucks using forklifts and hand jacks
Prepares boxes for shipment utilizing FedEx Ship Manager and UPS World Ship
Manually stocks inventory and uses Great Plains inventory program systems manager
Completes Great Plains inventory inquiries and bin transfers
Other duties as assigned
