About The Position

The Material Handler I is responsible for the efficient and safe movement, storage, and handling of materials within Madison IAQ LLC's facilities. This role ensures that production lines are stocked and finished goods are prepared for shipment, contributing to the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, with relevant certification a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory data entry.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying quantities against purchase orders and identifying any damage.
  • Accurately record material information in inventory management systems.
  • Safely transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Supply production lines with necessary components and retrieve finished goods.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto trucks.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counting activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Operate and perform basic maintenance checks on material handling equipment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or discrepancies to a supervisor.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and shipping departments to ensure efficient material flow.
