About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. 3M INDIANAPOLIS is seeking a candidate for MATERIAL HANDLER I. Full- time – 2nd Shift – 2:45pm – 11:15pm Monday through Friday. The person hired for the position of MATERIAL HANDLER I will work at our 3M INDIANAPOLIS, IN plant site. As a MATERIAL HANDLER I you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment in a private, public government or military environment
Ability to pass company provided Forklift Training and retain issued forklift license.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year of plant and/or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military environment
Powered Industrial Vehicle license

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial vehicles such as fork trucks
Move material using pallet jacks
Receive incoming goods
Ship outgoing product
Comply with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties.
Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
