About The Position

This role is responsible for operating various equipment to move freight, loading and unloading materials, and preparing finished products for shipment. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to maintain accurate inventories, and a commitment to a clean and safe working environment. The employee must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics.
Ability to work well in a team.
Ability to read, write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
Ability to operate handhelds, computers and relevant warehouse management and shipping computer software.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Experience in operating material handling equipment.
Certification to operate forklift truck.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts (sit down and standup), hand trucks and/or other equipment to move freight.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Identify and verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming materials from Production, Vendors, and/or returned goods deliveries.
Move materials to warehouse locations or staging and record their locations in the warehouse using handhelds to maintain accurate inventories.
Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them.
Perform cycle counts.
Maintain a clean warehouse and working environment.
Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations.
Wear safety equipment or gear as required.
Participate and engage in all safety initiatives.
