About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler I (1st Shift). This position is located at our Eaton Facility in Cleveland, TN. The hours for this role are 7 am - 3 pm.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required
• Must not be on a written or final written warning
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license
• Employee must complete at least 6 months in their current role before becoming eligible to apply for another position including same role on a different shift. Exceptions may be made based on the business need.

• Previous experience working on a Paint Line

Responsibilities

• Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton’s Quality standards and systems
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper PPE
• Retrieve parts from storage locations, using a forklift as necessary.
• Set hook arrangements, hang parts in the proper configuration, visually check parts for quality issues, packing equipment, and assure hooks are properly stored when not in use and other items as required
• Verify counts and Kanban cards to assure accuracy.
• Perform de-burring and de-greasing operations.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5s in the area
• Work with various groups of employees in a team-based environment, cross train on load and unload. Train new employees. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment in good working order.
