About The Position

The Material Handler I at Ditch Witch is responsible for filling orders, receiving and stocking parts in the warehouse, and delivering parts using forklifts or Raymond equipment. This role also involves unloading trucks and performing routine maintenance on forklifts and parts wagons. The position operates on a weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, offering a pay rate of $18.89/hr plus a $1 shift differential. Employees who complete 36 hours per week are paid for 40 hours.

Requirements

Appropriate reading skills.
Appropriate clerical skills.
Basic math skills, including the ability to understand written instructions, record transactions accurately, and perform basic calculations.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior forklift experience and/or certification.

Responsibilities

Fill orders.
Receive and stock parts into the warehouse.
Deliver parts with forklifts or Raymond equipment.
Unload trucks.
Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and parts wagons.
Read information from various documents.
Locate and identify parts in the warehouse.
Use a forklift, Raymond, or hoist to move or deliver parts and containers.
Count or use scales to weigh-count parts.
Use a computer to check the location, inventory, and routing/ordering of parts.
Perform routine service on forklifts, including filling the propane tank, checking and adding engine oil, cleaning the radiator, and washing the forklift.
