About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler I (3rd Shift Paint). The hourly rate for this position is $19.26 + 5% shift differential per hour. This role involves retrieving parts from storage, preparing them for painting, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The position offers opportunities for career progression and cross-training.

Requirements

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working on a Paint Line.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve parts from storage locations, using a forklift as necessary.
• Set hook arrangements, hang parts in the proper configuration, visually check parts for quality issues, packing equipment, and assure hooks are properly stored when not in use and other items as required.
• Verify counts and Kanban cards to assure accuracy.
• Perform de-burring and de-greasing operations.
• Work with various groups of employees in a team-based environment, cross train on load and unload.
• Train new employees.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain guarding and safety equipment in good working order.
• Perform work in a manner that supports Eaton’s Quality standards and systems.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper PPE.
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly manner and maintain 5s in the area.
