About The Position

Apogee Architectural Metals is seeking a Material Handler I - Paint Packager for the 3rd shift. This role is part of the Materials team, which is responsible for receiving, picking, packing, and shipping product to customers. The Material Handler will assist in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring efficient warehouse operations and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
• Perform basic problem-solving for discrepancies in orders or inventory.
• Read and interpret work instructions.
• Perform basic computer functions related to data entry.
• Ensure efficient space utilization and inventory management through strong organizational skills.
• Lift, move, and handle materials safely.
• Be cross-trained and able to support all Material Handler I roles.
