About The Position

The Material Handler I/II is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement, staging, and documentation of materials that support assembly line operations. They ensure continuous material flow, assist with inventory control, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency and maintain quality standards. This role involves working with various systems and scanning technology, participating in inventory counts, and identifying process improvements. The Material Handler I is an entry-level position with no minimum experience required, while the Material Handler II requires a minimum of 1 year of experience and demonstrated competence in all essential duties and qualifications, including creating and executing transfers between sites, processing inbound paperwork, and operating multiple types of forklifts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Process driven and with strong attention to detail
  • Minimum of 0 years related work experience (Material Handler I)
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous experience and working knowledge and competent demonstration of essential duties and minimum qualifications (Material Handler II)
  • Candidates must be authorized to work for an employer in the U.S., as we are not currently sponsoring or taking over sponsorship of employment Visa's
  • Satisfactory pre-employment drug test and background checks

Nice To Haves

  • Previous forklift experience preferred
  • Experience with handhelds or computers preferred
  • Knowledgeable with ERP or WMS system preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary

Responsibilities

  • Stock, pick and replenish parts/materials for production
  • Communicate closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Quality
  • Handle basic administrative duties such as data entry and archive records
  • Work with various systems and scanning technology (ERP, WMS, UPS/FedEx, TMS, Bar Tender)
  • Participate in inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Look for and facilitate process improvements
  • Print and distribute labels, manuals, and other necessary materials
  • Operate a reach truck, forklift or other material handling equipment
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Create and execute transfers between sites (Material Handler II)
  • Process inbound paperwork, transfers, and purchase orders in the system (Material Handler II)
  • Review and confirm production schedules daily (Material Handler II)
  • Certified to operate 2 or more types of forklifts (Material Handler II)
  • Ability to work in 2 or more areas (Material Handler II)
