About The Position
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, overhead bridge cranes, and yard trucks to move, store, load, and unload steel joist and deck products. This role also supports ongoing safety initiatives, housekeeping improvements, and performs additional duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Previous experience operating equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating forklifts and loading/unloading tractor trailers.
