About The Position

IRSG, a division of Pipp Mobile Storage Systems, an industry leader of Inventory Processing and Transport Solutions, is seeking a Material Handler to join their team in Itasca, IL. This role is for a Material Handler with forklift certification and at least 1 year of experience handling material handling responsibilities. Requirements

  • Forklift certification
  • At least 1 year of experience handling material handling responsibilities
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret customer work orders, processes, procedures and work instructions.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning and general principles to solve specific problems and reach sound conclusions.
  • At least 1 year of safe forklift operating experience
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive environment.
  • Position requires the ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires the use of hands for handling materials and visual abilities including close, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supplies production lines with exact quantities of material per sales order with adequate lead-time to ensure proper workforce utilization.
  • Participates in the efficient receiving of overseas containers by properly identifying products and quantities received, accurately labeling products and storing in designated bin locations.
  • Safely operate forklift in a fast-paced environment to load and unload trucks.
  • Maintains a clean and safe warehouse environment by ensuring proper product placement, accurate identification and removing unnecessary equipment or supplies.
  • Maintains a high level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment, providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
