About The Position

Anton Cabinetry is a custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company specializing in the design, fabrication and installation of commercial casework, architectural millwork and store fixtures throughout the United States. This role involves receiving and inspecting shipments, verifying quantities and quality of materials, documenting received materials, and manually loading/unloading materials. The position also includes inventory management, such as verifying counts, investigating discrepancies, marking stock items, storing items, and examining stock for defects. General warehouse duties include cleaning and maintaining equipment and storage areas, following warehouse procedures, keeping records, assisting other workers, and safely transporting materials using lifting devices like forklifts. Routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment is also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Forklift Certification
  • Ability to use basic math functions, read a ruler and tape measure, and calculate appropriate amounts of materials.
  • Ability to use computer record keeping and reporting applications.
  • Knowledge of 5S concepts in day-to-day operations.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years hands-on experience in fabricating and laminating laminate casework and assembly of custom millwork or casework.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Construction and/or woodworking vocational training.
  • 5S training or lean concepts training

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect shipments, verify quantities and quality of materials, and report discrepancies.
  • Document received material electronically or physically.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, or lifting devices.
  • Mark received material with a job number and/or label for tracking purposes.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies (daily cycle counting).
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Provide various inventory-related reports to management upon request.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and storage areas.
  • Follow all warehouse procedures regarding delivery, receiving, and material documentation.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Safely transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, in order to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank.
