About The Position
This is a seasonal position for 2-3 Material Handler/Forklift Operators. Responsibilities include loading and unloading building materials safely and efficiently, building and packaging orders as needed, and maintaining an organized lumber yard. The role requires working collaboratively with staff to meet daily objectives and adhering to all safety regulations. Excellent customer service is expected when interacting with customers and truck drivers.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds if necessary
- Able to work in outdoor conditions
- Flexibility with start and finish times
- Reliable and punctual
- Self-Motivated and able to work without supervision
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma
- Forklift experience an asset
- Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading of building materials in a safe and timely manner
- Order Building and Packaging as required
- Assist in keeping a tidy and organized lumber yard
- Work with staff in a team environment to accomplish daily goals
- Compliance to all work safety rules and regulations
- Politeness to customers and truck drivers who are picking up or dropping off orders
Benefits
- Hourly Rate $18 plus 4% in lieu of vacation.
