Material Handler/Forklift Operator
About The Position
WSI is currently seeking Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for a new operation in Lancaster, TX. Shifts available are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime as required. This role involves operating material handling equipment for receiving, storing, processing orders, and shipping material. Responsibilities include performing receiving and shipping inspections to verify quantities, check for damage, and ensure proper documentation. The position also requires performing physical material inventories to manage sample inventories. Please note that these are the major duties, and other tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Must be reliable and safety-minded
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Willing and eager to learn
- Solid work history
- Pass pre-employment background check
- Pass post offer drug screen/physical
Responsibilities
- Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, process orders, and ship material.
- Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine: a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
- Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control of sample inventories.
