About The Position

The Material Handler will handle, move, and store various materials within the warehouse and throughout the plant. This role requires operating a forklift safely, multitasking to fulfill requests, identifying correct delivery areas, maintaining equipment, moving products, and adhering to 6S standards. The position also involves completing other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

• Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
• Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
• Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
• Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates forklift in a safe manner while being aware of surroundings (ex. pedestrians, other forklifts, equipment).
• Multitasks to fulfill all requests in a timely manner.
• Identifies and locates the correct areas to deliver products in the warehouse.
• Keeps all material handling equipment in the best condition by calling the Maintenance Team for repairs and regular preventative maintenance.
• Moves products around the warehouse using forklift.
• Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.
