About The Position

Responsible for efficiently managing inbound and outbound orders, this role encompasses various warehouse functions to ensure smooth operations. The role involves using a forklift with a clamp, requesting and reviewing materials for production, preparing and issuing materials based on ERP reports, reporting material shortages and discrepancies, receiving, unloading, and storing materials, ensuring inventory turnover meets established standards, ordering expense items, arranging delivery of required materials, coordinating and performing cyclical physical inventories, checking for inventory inaccuracies, ensuring complete issuance of Work Orders, adhering to schedules, training, operational procedures, and safety protocols, reporting safety hazards, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The position also requires exercising due care in the use of materials, equipment, and supplies, completing requested forms, and performing other assigned job functions.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment without air conditioning.
  • Ability to stand for long periods with frequent stooping and bending.
  • Capability to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Availability for overtime as required.
  • Maintain a good personal record in security.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment/post-offer drug test and background check.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Use Forklift with Clamp
  • Request and review materials needed for production work orders.
  • Prepare and issue materials based on ERP reports.
  • Report material shortages to Production Data Entry Clerk.
  • Notify discrepancies in production requests to Production Data Entry Clerk.
  • Receive, unload, and store materials.
  • Ensure inventory turnover meets established standards (e.g., one pallet at a time from VMI).
  • Order expense items based on min-max numbers.
  • Arrange delivery of required materials.
  • Coordinate and perform cyclical physical inventories.
  • Check for inventory inaccuracies and discrepancies.
  • Ensure complete issuance of Work Orders.
  • Adhere to schedules, training, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Report building or equipment safety hazards to the Supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report any material shortages to maintain an adequate supply.
  • Exercise due care in the use of materials, equipment and supplies to promote safe and environmental practices.
  • Complete forms as requested by supervisor (e.g., forklift checks, receiving count records).
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.
