Material Handler/Forklift Driver - spot truck or trucking experience preferred
About The Position
The Material Handler is responsible for the physical loading, unloading and/or sorting of packages of varying sizes and weights by hand, including lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, scanning, placing packages, as well as physical bending, twisting, kneeling etc. in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves picking orders based on customer specifications, scanning materials, data entry, reviewing orders for accuracy and quality, and packing orders to ensure they reach the customer in excellent condition. The position also requires inspecting raw materials for damage, contamination, or discoloration, documenting incoming shipments and movements, and communicating effectively with Production, Quality, and Group Leaders. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and clerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experienced using MS Office Suite.
- Understanding of database/computer programs.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with internal customers and company personnel with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Spot truck or trucking experience preferred.
- Associates Degree or Trade School.
- 3 years of experience preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift and or picker is a plus.
Responsibilities
