About The Position
Due to the highly interactive nature of this manufacturing position, in-person attendance and flexibility are essential for supporting production schedules, effective communication and collaboration, real-time problem solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives. The Material Handler/Forklift Operator is responsible for transporting products, packaging and raw materials to warehouse locations and and trailers. Organizes packaging and return areas, loads or unloads trailers.Ways you will make a difference
Requirements
- Skills in operating a Reach and Standup Forklift and hand jack
- Ability to speak, write and read English
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Can safely lift up to 60 pounds
- Promote teamwork, possess a good attitude, and exhibit flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed
- Minimum of one year of warehouse experience including proven skills in safe operation of a Reach Truck, Standup Forklift, and Electric Pallet Jack
Responsibilities
- Completes daily checklist form. Replenishes fluids and generates maintenance work request forms for repairs needed
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Picks and stages packaging and supplies at work sites
- Receives materials from production by verifying and identifying information and quantity of materials, placing materials in inventory
- Load and unload trailers
- Verifies case/pallet counts and patterns. Reports any discrepancies to the floor and/or the department supervisor.
- Conducts assigned work in a safe manner and adheres to all safety methods.
- Adheres to all Good Manufacturing Practices
- Assists in inventory reconciliation process
- Maintains a clean and neat work area at all times
- Maintains inventory control system by tracking, moving, and shipping the product using SAP system and/or Excel spreadsheet
