About The Position

In this role, as a BAE SYSTEMS Overhead Crane Operator and Rigger, you are the heartbeat of our logistics operation. You aren’t just moving parts; you are ensuring that high-value defense products are safely loaded, transported, and delivered with absolute precision. Operating within a culture of continuous improvement, you will be responsible for the movement and storage of critical materials while upholding the highest standards of safety, cost, and quality. We are looking for a professional who balances technical expertise with a disciplined approach to safety. You should be an expert in the art of rigging—proficient with slings, chains, and hardware, and fluent in the hand and arm signals that keep a warehouse floor synchronized. Your day-to-day will be dynamic and hands-on. You will master a wide array of equipment, from overhead cranes and high-capacity pneumatic and hard-tire forklifts (with and without rigging booms) to flatbed trucks and man lifts. Beyond operation, you will serve as a guardian of safety, conducting meticulous daily, quarterly, and pre-use inspections on all rigging, fixtures, and equipment to ensure every lift is a safe lift.

Requirements

2+ years experience as a crane operator or crane rigger
Crane Operator certification
Comfortable in a demanding industrial environment
Capable of lifting 40 lbs
Able to stand, climb, and walk for extended periods
Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, and computerized inventory systems
High School Diploma or GED
Can communicate effectively and clearly in English
Fundamental commitment to safety principles
Ability to remain calm, professional, and collaborative even in high-pressure situations
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Confidential level clearance

Nice To Haves

NCCCO Certification in Rigger, Signal Person; and Overhead, or Mobile Crane Operator.
Forklift Certification.
2+ years experience with crane operation, or rigging operations.
CDL-A license is a plus.
