About The Position
This role is responsible for aiding in the shipping and receiving of product and performing other duties as directed by the manager. The position requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, organizing the cooler, and ensuring the accuracy of shipments. The Material Handler will also assist with various quality control and inventory tasks.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Self-disciplined
- Good forklift driving skills
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks
- Ensure truck/trailer condition meets cleanliness standards
- Act as the last line of inspection for finished product going to customers
- Ensure accuracy of shipments as to quantity, lot identification, and code date
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Organize the cooler
- Assist the lab in pulling samples and tagging product placed on QC hold
- Assist the USDA grader in pulling samples
- Rotate product into the warehouse to temper for the butter room to use in the oil system
- Properly rotate product using the first-in, first-out method
- Assist in month-end inventory
- Adhere to all DFA Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
- Perform other duties as assigned
