About The Position

This role is responsible for various material handling tasks to support production. Key duties include pulling and drying materials according to documentation, managing inventory transactions, preparing workstations, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. The position also involves contributing to process improvements, performing forklift operations, and adhering to company quality and safety policies. Flexibility to assist with other floor duties and assigned tasks is expected.

Requirements

• Basic reading and writing
• Basic math skills – ability to count
• Ability to verbally communicate to many different levels within the organization
• Routine lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Required to walk, stand or sit up to 12 hours per day (depending on shift), with 10-to-15-minute breaks every two hours
• Good vision is required for visual inspection of material and inventory documents
• Repetitive bending, stooping, or twisting
• Occasional reaching, kneeling

Responsibilities

• Pull material per production document
• Dry material per documentation
• Accurate in/out of inventory transactions
• Making boxes
• Floor backup
• Housekeeping
• Set up workstation per documentation
• Back up on all floor duties
• Process methods and quality improvements / FABW
• Line clear and return to stock of all materials at end of run
• Cleaning out hoppers
• Complete daily forklift checklist
• Write action forms
• Write internal work orders
• Correct methods or processes not running to documentation
• Understand company quality policy and general safety rules for all employees
• Other duties as assigned
