Material Handler- CDL (Yard Driver)
About The Position
TOPY America Inc. is a world class manufacturer of steel wheels for a variety of automotive manufacturers including General Motors, Ford, Honda, Nissan, and Subaru. We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials. This role involves operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials. The schedule is a 12-hour Day shift (8am-8:30pm) with a rotating schedule of 3 days one week and 4 days the next, including rotating weekends, with the benefit of being home daily.
Requirements
- CDL-Class A or B
- Proven experience as a forklift operator or similar role
- Ability to comfortably operate a semi-truck with a trailer
- Experience operating a forklift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to reach above and below shoulder height.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to perform all physical motions, i.e., twisting, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and walking on uneven ground.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety checks on equipment before and after use
- Move trailers and other equipment around the yard
- Communicate with other personnel to coordinate movements
- Maintain a well- organized yard
- Operate forklift to move materials, as needed
- Assist with other duties as assigned
