About The Position

Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Assists in maintaining inventory integrity. Material Handler Associates II's are also responsible for shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated word processing and data entry skills.
  • Familiar with GMP environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Tandem’s Forklift Certification in good standing.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory CA driving record.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years shipping and receiving experience with a combination of the following: Material handling in manufacturing environment. Data entry with ERP system. FDA regulated environment. Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies as well as automated shipping equipment such as the FedEx café.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares documents, instructions and other required documentation in order to coordinate shipping and freighting of pumps, cartridges, and materials.
  • Packs and prepares company products and other materials for shipping in accordance with customer requests.
  • Maintains records of orders shipped, documenting weights and shipping charges.
  • Ensures documentation complies with governmental and regulatory agencies requirements.
  • Schedules and coordinates shipment deadlines with Customer Service in order to ensure shipments and freights arrive at the appropriate destination within determined timeline.
  • Maintains computerized shipping systems, 100 lb. scale, 300 lb. hand truck, pallet jack, bubble pack dispenser, and bander.
  • Receives incoming materials, services and supplies by unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
  • Transfers approved materials into their proper stockroom locations or delivers packages to internal customers.
  • Coordinates incoming shipments of goods authorized for return with employees in Customer Service, Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
  • Receives product from quarantine and production into finished goods, verifies accuracy against shop order or sterile processing log and reports discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Pulls materials to support work orders and inventory requests.
  • Performs daily cycle count and ensures 100% accuracy of all finished goods inventory.
  • Performs daily inventory data transactions.
  • Provides feedback to inventory inquiries.
