About The Position

You will be the Material Handler Assembly Coordinator for our Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control team in Archbald, PA. Our team is responsible for managing material flow, inventory control, and supporting production operations at the facility. As the Material Handler Assembly Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating storeroom activities and ensuring timely delivery of parts to the production floor.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or inventory control environment
  • Must be able to safely move product with tools such as pallet jacks, carts and similar tools
  • Must be able to count using tools such as scales and x-ray part counters, and other measuring devices
  • Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required
  • Must be able to obtain a Government Security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Basic computing literacy is required
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Responsible for training new personnel on policies, procedures and duties
  • Inventory Control experience
  • Familiar with proper Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESD) handling processes & procedures
  • Experience working in a receiving stockroom or shipping area, or loading and unloading parts, or packing or unpacking materials, and keeping inventory counts
  • Shop floor coordination/material handling
  • Ability to work well with others and cross shift with others on the same work
  • Be a self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office computer proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Works with Operations leadership, Production Control, Customer and Government Representatives on a daily basis in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Performs all types of storeroom activity, including receiving and placing incoming materials into the storeroom and filling work order requirements.
  • Must efficiently move product on the production floor to the next location.
  • Must request and retrieve materials and supplies needed to support production.
  • Responsible for all material flow for a specific assembly area.
  • Responsible for receiving in-coming parts, determining their destination, and completing all necessary paperwork involved.
  • Pulls required parts per pick list, and verifies the quantity, condition, and description of received parts.
  • Tracks material, parts, and jobs through the manufacturing process.
  • Must be able to read and interpret prints and sketches as necessary.
  • Check quantity received against material receivers by counting or weighing.
  • Stores all material in a safe manner, utilizing space to maximum advantage.
  • Participates during internal and external audits as required.
  • Validates paperwork to product.
  • Employee will receive and/or process material for storage and use as required.
  • Must maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines and the correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment.
  • Assist in the training of employees as assigned.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
