About The Position

The primary responsibility of this position is the loading and unloading of trucks, pulling orders, cleaning the yard and warehouse areas, and assisting customers. This role requires a team player who can develop positive working relationships with all location personnel, Outside Sales Representatives, and other Company employees. The work is primarily outside in all types of weather, and occasionally may require travel with a driver to assist delivery at the job site.

Requirements

Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to pass the Forklift Operator Written Licensing Exam
Good math skills
Good reading skills

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

Unloading vendor trucks
Receiving and unloading trucks
Storing all incoming materials in proper location promptly
Assisting with inventory cycle counts
Maintaining inventory in a neat and logical manner
Ensuring no materials leave the yard or warehouse without a ticket
Pulling orders for shipment
Complying with Company safety policy
Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area
Operating all material handling equipment in a safe manner
Reporting all safety concerns immediately to the Warehouse and/or Yard Manager
Ensuring all shipments and customer pickups are done completely and accurately
Loading all materials properly to allow a safe delivery
Pulling orders for shipment as directed
Developing positive working relationships with all location personnel, Outside Sales Representatives, and other Company employees
