About The Position

Standard Electric Supply Co. is seeking a highly motivated Material Handler and Delivery Driver to join their team in Tinley Park, IL. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of products to customers, while maintaining a commitment to quality and safety. As a Material Handler, the candidate will efficiently move materials within the warehouse, ensuring products are properly stored and organized using handheld barcode scanners. This position requires a proactive problem solver who can effectively communicate with team members and customers to ensure exceptional customer service. The compensation range for this position is $24 - $25 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license, CDL not required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted required.
Valid DOT Medical Certification Card, or ability to obtain one upon hire (company will arrange the required DOT physical appointment).

Nice To Haves

Experience in a warehouse, driving, or customer service role.
Ability to operate a Forklift certification or other warehouse equipment.
Ability to operate a box truck and/or cargo van.
Knowledge of safety regulations in warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

General warehousing duties include staging and receiving incoming shipments, picking customer orders, and shipping orders according to customer requirements.
Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and warehouse storage areas.
Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse and at customer sites.
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth delivery process.
