About The Position

Volt is hiring Material Handlers and Cherry Picker/Turret Operators in Fontana, California. These are full-time, temp-to-hire opportunities. Cherry Picker/Turret Operators must have one relevant year of experience operating cherry picker and turret forklifts. Material Handler duties include loading and unloading trailers, containers, and shipments; handling small- to medium-sized boxes weighing up to 60 pounds; sorting, moving, replenishing, and organizing inventory; and picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment.

The position offers multiple schedules across day and night shifts. Current schedules are Tuesday–Saturday, Sunday–Thursday, or Thursday–Monday, with shifts running either 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m. All schedules are expected to convert to a four-day, 10-hour schedule in November, with listed hours of 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Candidates must pass a seven-year background check and drug screen, be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift, and lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Composite-toe shoes are required. Pay is $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on the role, shift, and schedule selected.

Requirements

• Cherry Picker/Turret Operators must have one relevant year of experience operating cherry picker and turret forklifts.

• Be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Wear composite-toe shoes.
