About The Position

The Material Handler – Aftermarket Merchandise & Fulfillment Specialist plays a critical role in supporting warehouse, retail, and e-commerce operations through the receipt, processing, evaluation, storage, and distribution of merchandise. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling customer and store orders, supporting product flow, conducting jewelry metal testing, and assisting with inventory optimization initiatives. The successful candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
Experience working in warehouse, distribution, retail, logistics, or material handling environments preferred
Experience supporting inventory control, shipping, and order fulfillment activities preferred
Familiarity with shipping systems, inventory management processes, and e-commerce operations is preferred.
Experience handling high-value merchandise and maintaining accuracy, security, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
Ability to work and learn to operate a forklift by passing required internal testing and certification.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, unload, and process incoming merchandise and donated goods.
Sort, organize, and store products in designated warehouse locations.
Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling and documentation procedures.
Assist with inventory transfers between warehouse and retail store locations.
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages to leadership.
Pick, pack, and stage merchandise for retail stores, e-commerce customers, wholesale accounts, and special projects.
Prepare shipments according to established operational procedures and timelines.
Load and unload merchandise using approved material handling equipment and safe work practices.
Verify order accuracy, product quantities, and shipment documentation prior to distribution.
Support store replenishment and bulk merchandise distribution initiatives.
Accurately process e-commerce orders from receipt through shipment.
Package merchandise to ensure product protection and customer satisfaction.
Utilize approved shipping systems and carrier platforms to create shipping labels and process orders.
Verify product descriptions, quantities, and order details before shipment.
Process customer returns and assist with inventory adjustments related to e-commerce activity.
Maintain shipping supplies and organized workstations to support efficient fulfillment operations.
Monitor fulfillment timelines to ensure orders are processed within service expectations.
Identify slow-moving, aged, damaged, obsolete, or unsellable merchandise.
Assist in inventory reduction efforts through transfers, liquidation, recycling, or disposal processes.
Maintain records of inventory adjustments and product disposition activities.
Support warehouse organization and space utilization initiatives.
Collaborate with leadership to improve inventory turnover and product flow.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels that support operational efficiency and business objectives.
Conduct basic jewelry evaluations using approved testing methods and equipment.
Identify and classify precious metals including gold, silver, platinum, and other valuable materials.
Sort jewelry based on quality, value, and organizational guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of jewelry evaluations and testing results.
Ensure the proper handling, storage, and security of valuable merchandise.
Communicate findings regarding potentially high-value items to leadership.
Assist with merchandise processing, labeling, tagging, and preparation for sale.
Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas.
Follow established warehouse procedures and productivity standards.
Support departmental projects, operational initiatives, and seasonal business needs.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Adhere to all organizational safety policies and procedures.
Use proper lifting techniques and safe material handling practices.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and workplace hazards immediately.
Safely operate pallet jacks, carts, and other approved equipment.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, asset protection standards, and regulatory requirements.
