About The Position

This is a full-time, 1st shift position for a Material Handler (Storeroom Lead) in Bridgeport, WV. This role is considered a Non DOT - Safety Sensitive Position. The essential functions include working as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment, being a self-starter with minimal guidance, and possessing strong motivation, attention to detail, organization, and multitasking abilities. The role requires normal dexterity, the ability to lift and move heavy items (occasionally up to 50 pounds), and frequent walking, standing, and/or climbing. Extreme care must be taken when handling parts and working around them. Adherence to general work rules, company policies, and procedures is mandatory. Full engagement is expected to support company initiatives and achieve the highest standards of work. Key responsibilities include a working knowledge of the inbound freight process, training personnel, and verifying On-the-Job Training (OJT) records in all areas of the Plant 81 New Parts Storeroom. Daily coordination with the New Parts Storeroom Operations Supervisor is required, including verifying and processing Delivery Notes against physical items and escalating discrepancies. Maintaining clean equipment to prevent maintenance issues and ensure a safe, clean work environment is also crucial. The role involves monitoring storeroom priorities such as window traffic, clearing tackle boxes, processing receipts from the dock, maintaining benchstock levels, and performing scanning of Fast Index Cycle Counts and RTS clearance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • ERP system experience with inventory management experience
  • US work authorization required
