About The Position

This is an advanced position requiring significant experience in warehousing operations, exceptional technical skills (equipment operation, counting, space utilization, handling efficiency), and in-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and Microsoft applications. The job entails becoming an SME in all warehouse processes as well as being able to take on special projects, suggesting improvements to increase productivity and efficiency, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience at Intuitive, or relevant external experience of 4 to 6 years.
  • Ability to adhere to attendance, safety, quality, and performance guidelines.
  • Inventory control experience (cycle counting, physical inventories).
  • Experience in training/mentoring other material handlers.
  • Accurately perform both physical material movements and system transactions for inventory accuracy.
  • Possess a high school degree/ GED /Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Kanban systems and other lean material handling principles.
  • Ability to lift material up to 35 lbs.
  • Load & unload trucks as needed via pallet jacks.
  • Wrap, weigh & prepare shipments on skids/pallets.
  • Extensive walking, standing in one place for a long period of time, and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, and climbing ladders) are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computer systems (MS Office, Agile, Smartsheet, SAP) is preferred.
  • Previous working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kanban processes is a plus.
  • Medical device experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies, checks, and validates outgoing material to ensure labels, packing slips, BOLs, other shipping documents, and serial numbers are correctly done, attached, and processed according to work instructions.
  • Utilizes the Production work orders process to put together kits.
  • Receives materials, both physically and systemically, for use in production operations and engineering projects.
  • Physically moves approved Production materials from Quality staging areas into warehouse storage locations.
  • Performs warehouse point-of-use parts replenishment for designated production lines.
  • Maintains, reports, and drives Purchase Orders (POs) for cross-divisional and other locations replenishment processes.
  • Performs parts replenishment for designated production lines, following First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles when putting away, picking, and replenishing material.
  • Fulfills and transacts Material Transfer (MT) requests received either electronically or via hard copy.
  • Fulfills and transacts Sales Orders.
  • Processes approved Stock Transfer Orders (STO).
  • Packs finished assemblies and materials from other departments for shipping.
  • Understands the full flow of material within stockroom locations.
  • Participates in Cycle Count, Physical Inventories, and reconciliation activities in coordination with the Supervisor/Material Handler Lead.
  • Conducts material audits and parts verification.
  • Evaluates bin capacity and consolidations to increase storage capacity.
  • Maintains various SOX compliance audit records and suggests improvements to warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensures the business unit is always audit-ready.
  • Complies with general Good Warehouse Practices (GWP) and Warehouse housekeeping processes.
  • Performs systemic transactions in warehouse management systems.
  • Assists in data collection in combination with the warehousing team for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintains warehouse safety in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Communicates verbally and via email the status of material movements and transactions to appropriate internal customers.
  • Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement program, including the creation and implementation of small-scale improvements.
  • Locates and counts parts accurately (using cycle-count documents) and completes required documentation.
  • Effectively applies knowledge of material flow and warehousing principles to Material Handling assignments (FIFO, consolidation, lean principles).
  • Uses dollies, carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move items.
  • Inspects equipment prior to use and immediately reports unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or safety hazards.
