About The Position

This role involves the loading and unloading of trucks, moving materials according to production orders and shop load reports using various equipment, and managing incoming shipments. The position requires meticulous attention to detail in verifying shipments, scanning and filing documentation, and maintaining traceability. Responsibilities also include completing transactions in the ERP system, organizing storage areas, and assisting with physical inventory and other teams within the company. The job is performed in a manufacturing environment, both indoors and outdoors, and may require occasional travel and non-standard work hours.

Requirements

  • FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE IS A MUST!
  • Must have experience with Heavy Duty 25T - 70T forklifts (i.e. Hyster) and 10-20T overhead crane
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a material handler, shipping or receiving technician or similar
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and 5S
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and ERP systems
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to comply with the company Drug and Alcohol Policy, including participation in Company random drug testing.
  • Employment is subject to background checks appropriate to the position.

Responsibilities

  • Load and Unload trucks.
  • Move material per production orders and shop load reports using forklifts, cranes, and hand trucks.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, count items, weigh, measure, record shortages, and reject damaged items.
  • Review identifying information of incoming shipments to verify items against bills of lading, purchase orders, packaging slips, materials, or other records.
  • Scan and file all required traceability documentation.
  • Follow procedures to maintain traceability at all times.
  • Complete shipping, receiving and material transactions in ERP system.
  • Organize the shipping/receiving areas and general yard storage areas.
  • Assist with physical inventory.
  • Assist welding team with data logging.
  • Assist machine shop with set-ups, shop movements, and empty hoppers.
  • Assist Quality Inspectors with detailed receiving inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
