About The Position

The Material Handler 2 is focused on moving aluminum extrusions from the racks to the staging zone for the saw operator. The Material Handler 2 reports to the Custom Door Fabrication Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who is safety-minded, detail-focused, a team player, and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

Prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment.
Stable work history with at least one (1) year of previous work experience in manufacturing or a production facility.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Moving aluminum extrusions from the racks to the staging zone for the saw operator.
Ability to read and use a tape measure to a 1/32.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
Requires constant reaching, handling and grasping while turning of upper body while moving and lifting.
Ability to grasp and squeeze small parts and large items.
Ability to stand and walk on a concrete floor, wearing steel-toed shoes with metatarsal guards and other safety equipment for eight to ten hours per day.
Ability to wear all safety wear including hard hats, steel toe boots with metatarsals, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, Kevlar sleeves and long pants.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Able to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high.
The ability to safely perform tasks, adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and correct or report hazards in the workplace.
Ability to read written instructions and take verbal directions.
Ability to use a hand pallet and or motorized pallet jack.
