This role involves handling materials and parts, sorting packages, performing electronic transactions, ensuring inventory accuracy, counting parts, conducting paperwork inspections, and communicating with other groups. The position performs stockkeeping tasks, including basic to moderately complex troubleshooting and data manipulation. Responsibilities include picking and preparing parts for distribution, putting away parts, filling bins, and kitting piece parts according to material plans. The Material Handler must handle materials according to required procedures, review and input data into the computer system, and utilize various tools and devices for tasks. This may involve lifting up to 50 pounds and accurately completing required paperwork. The role requires computer literacy for data entry, product status updates, and time entry, as well as the ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Basic math skills, understanding of measurements and dimensions, ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints, knowledge of electro-static discharge rules, understanding of statistical process control data, and reasoning ability to solve problems with multiple variables are also necessary. The position requires adherence to work instructions and a willingness to recommend process improvements.
