About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Material Handler 1 operates forklifts or other mobile equipment to perform routine moving, staging, loading or unloading of materials, supplies or products within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the facility, contributing to production efficiency and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level
Basic computer skills
Time Management – prioritizing work to meet internal and/or external customer demands
Detail Oriented – ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and/or external customer demands
Good communication skills
Mobile equipment operations skills
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as outlined in the role specific Job Safety Analysis
Forklift, Combi-lift, Side-loader, or other mobile equipment
Computers
Scanners, tablets, printers
Oracle ERP
Hand tools including, but not limited to, nail gun, banding equipment, hammer, saw, etc.

Nice To Haves

3+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment
Mobile equipment certification

Responsibilities

Transports raw materials, supplies, products and/or finished goods to and from storage or production lines and places them in designated area (80%)
Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities (10%)
Completes all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements (5%)
Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned (5%)
