About The Position

This role is responsible for handling and maintaining the flow of materials throughout the plant. Key duties include completing daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection reports, sorting and deboxing materials, moving and stacking pallets, and dumping gaylords, totes, and cages. The position also involves completing preventative maintenance for mobile equipment, maintaining a safe and clean work environment, attending safety meetings, managing controllable costs, reporting safety or maintenance concerns, and communicating effectively with floor leads regarding various production and material handling issues. Adherence to plant policies and guidelines is required, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work any shift as needed
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
Alertness, visual ability, and concern for quality
Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to operate/monitor the following equipment: Hand Truck, Plastic Bander

Responsibilities

Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant
Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
Complete sorting and deboxing of material
Move/stack pallets/materials on the production floor
Dump gaylords, totes and cages
Complete PMs for all certified mobile equipment regularly
Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
Attend and participate in Plant safety meetings
Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
Report any safety or maintenance concerns
Communicate with floor lead – maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, unacceptable or non-conforming loads, poor bale quality, or any other issues with material being handled
Adhere to Plant policies and guidelines
