About The Position

NXTPoint Logistics provides a complete range of end-to-end supply chain solutions. This role is an employee of NXTPoint, but will work on site at a Johnson & Johnson facility. The position is responsible for performing all mailroom duties such as verifying the bills of lading, customs paperwork, verifying packing lists, and preparing outbound orders. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, cleaning, transporting, storage, product destruction, delivery, etc. in accordance with departmental procedures, work instructions, and guidance documents in a safe and responsible manner, observing all safety and security protocols. The role requires effective communication and engagement with co-workers and customers, and providing quality customer service with internal customers.

Requirements

  • High school or G.E.D. degree; minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to carry and climb a ladder.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in a 12-hour day).
  • Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

  • Daily verifies the hopper to ensure all orders are completed timely.
  • Interacts with other distribution operators to direct activities as required to meet desired process outcomes for the assigned process.
  • Monitors, tracks and reports on assigned processes within the operation to both the management team and distribution operators as required.
  • Completes all required documentation for pallet shipments.
  • Communicates any shortages or missing shipments to warehouse pickers and PPS to ensure all shipments are received in a timely manner.
  • Collect all UPS, FEDEX and other customer orders from the CHUTES area once shipment pallet is complete.
  • Operate basic manual or powered material handling equipment.
  • Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
  • Ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Ensures customers’ special requests are carried out and all problems and/or discrepancies are investigated.
  • Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions.
  • Maintain a clean neat and orderly work area.
  • Help cover absent team members routines as determined by Supervisor(s) to balance out staffing shortages and to maintain steady availability of staff.
  • Maintain training on departmental procedures, policies, GMP’s, and follow all safety security & environment guidelines.
  • Complete special projects, duties, or assignments appropriately.
  • Maintain warehouse and support areas in an outstanding housekeeping state.
  • May also require material handling equipment certification.
  • Must be dependable and punctual in attendance.
