About The Position

This position performs various duties throughout the work area to facilitate the expedient movement of goods. Duties will be varied. The Material Expediter executes the following: locates and moves materials and parts between work areas of CSF to expedite processing of goods, according to predetermined schedules and priorities, and keeps related record, reviews production schedules inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required material and priorities of customer orders, confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials, locates and moves materials to specified production areas, using cart or hand truck, and records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand. Work may include the following task: directing power truck operators or material handling laborer to expedite movement of materials between storage and production areas, compare work ticket specifications with materials at workstations to verify appropriateness of material in use, prepare worker production records and timecards, and may update and maintain inventory records, using computer terminal. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED is required.
Specific training and thorough knowledge in warehouse operations.
Working knowledge of warehouse related computer software.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent lawful resident status.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Pass a background check.
