About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Material Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Experienced or Lead) to join our team developing estimates for Air Dominance Proprietary programs. This role is responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work. The ideal candidate will combine strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or higher
3+ years of experience in a business-related role (finance, contracts, accounting, etc.)
3+ years of experience in developing estimates
3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, etc
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experience using data analysis to drive decision making
Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion
Experience presenting to senior leadership
Experience performing opportunity and risk analysis

Responsibilities

Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
Develops material estimating and pricing methods and pricing models
Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals
Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery
