Requirements

College degree or equivalent plus ten years of relevant experience required.
Five years management experience in underwriting, claims, or property and casualty insurance required.
Demonstrated leadership, customer service, team orientation, and technical/business/industry regulations related skills required.
Travel required (approx. 25%-30%) including overnight, and must be able to work under all kinds of weather conditions.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis.

Responsibilities

Establish and execute the material damage claims strategy, including service delivery, operational performance, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives that support client/member service, growth, loss ratio, and efficiency goals.
Lead enterprise storm response for material damage claims, including planning, readiness, resource deployment, surge capacity, workflow prioritization, and consistent claim handling and customer communication during catastrophe events.
Direct the activities of the specialty units within the claim department.
Lead training development for claims handling, technical auto/specialty vehicle damage assessment, and catastrophe response processes.
Develop and manage the material damage claims budget, including catastrophe-related expenditures.
