About The Position

Piedmont Plastics is seeking a Material Cutter/Saw Operator for their Greensboro location. This role involves operating various types of saws and shears, including CNC panel saws, table saws, shears, adjustable circular saws, band saws, and hand saws, to cut plastic rod, sheet, or tube to specified sizes. The position requires selecting the appropriate saw blade, pulling stock, restocking, removing cut stock, and maintaining production counts. Responsibilities also include using programmable displays on CNC saws for setup and cutting, establishing cutting parameters for quality, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, operating a forklift to transport materials, and maintaining general warehouse housekeeping and safe work habits.

Requirements

At least two years of experience using a computerized table saw/guillotine
At least two years of experience driving a forklift
A high school diploma or GED
The ability to lift a maximum of 100 pounds
A stable work history of at least 9 months
Experience using a computer
A positive attitude and are a team player!

Responsibilities

Operates a variety of saws or shears (CNC panel saws, table saws, shears, adjustable circular saw, band saws, hand saws) to convert plastic rod, sheet or tube to the required size.
Selects saw blade according to type of material and cut specified on work order.
Pulls stock and restocks from/to storage locations.
Removes cut stock from machine and maintains production count.
Uses programmable displays on CNC saws to set-up and cut materials.
Establishes cutting parameters to achieve maximum quality.
Performs preventative maintenance and other routine maintenance on equipment as needed or prescribed in work instructions.
Drives forklift to transport material throughout the warehouse.
Responsible for general warehouse housekeeping and safe work habits.
