About The Position

This position involves performing limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization, related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The work is typically segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually pertain to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or functions that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The role primarily deals with individual case problems or supply actions and may require considering program requirements alongside variations from standardized guidelines. Key aspects include building and maintaining a strong working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, as well as understanding the needs of the serviced organization. The coordinator will utilize analytical abilities to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and recommend actions based on established guidelines. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army.
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and complete paperwork associated with vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks.
  • Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug screen and a government background check is required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a National Agency Check (NAC) within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be available for any shift.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
  • Build and maintain a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Build and maintain an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
  • Utilize analytical abilities to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Continuously develop and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete all training requirements and fulfill all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Conform to the Amentum Quality Policy and carry out job activities in compliance with applicable Amentum Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
