The work is typically segregated by commodity area or function and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually pertain to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations or functions that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The role primarily deals with individual case problems or supply actions and may require considering program requirements alongside variations from standardized guidelines. Key aspects include building and maintaining a strong working knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, as well as understanding the needs of the serviced organization. The coordinator will utilize analytical abilities to define problems, collect necessary data, establish facts, and recommend actions based on established guidelines. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.
