Sets up and operates metal fabricating machines such as brakes, shears and presses, to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation. The Material Coordinator will select, position, and secure tooling and fixtures, and adjust machine controls for optimal performance. They will also inspect and measure work, label parts, document deviations, and ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn. Additionally, this role may involve training new or existing employees and reporting work-related injuries and near misses.
