This role involves conducting daily delivery tasks to customer facilities and job sites. When not making deliveries or running transfers, the Material Coordinator will perform warehouse duties such as loading/unloading deliveries, picking materials for next day orders, assisting in receiving and putting away replenishment stock, and general clean-up to ensure a safe and clean work environment. The position requires planning, organizing, and following department schedules, moving parts and materials to support assembly operations, and routing or operating equipment to move materials. This role also coordinates the delivery of needed materials, reports shortages, and collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering, Purchasing, and Production Control to provide information for part and material substitutions. The Material Coordinator is responsible for implementing Engineering Changes and deviations for purchased and fabricated parts at the point of use, maintaining accurate stock disposition, preparing reports on excess inventories and parts status, and researching root causes for shortages. Additionally, they will maintain materials in dynamic storage locations, manage the emptying of kan ban bins and cardboard disposal, and maintain material handling equipment and related records. The use of SAP for materials management transactions and research is required.
