About The Position

The Material Coordinator is responsible for strategically coordinating material flow, system accuracy, and cross-functional alignment to ensure production milestones and schedule commitments are met. This role serves as a critical link between Production/Operating, Planning, Supply Chain, and Quality, providing visibility, accountability, and disciplined execution across material readiness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in full MS Suite and ERP/MRP systems
  • 2+ years of experience in material operations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive, restoration, manufacturing and/or assembly environment

Responsibilities

  • Launch, adoption, and sustained, correct use of an ERP system as it relates to material movement, inventory accuracy, build points, and production execution.
  • Act as a process and system champion, ensuring data integrity, adherence to standard work, and continuous improvement of ERP-driven workflows.
  • Lead the implementation, learning, and ongoing disciplined use of an ERP system for material coordination, inventory accuracy, build point tracking, and material visibility.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for ERP-driven material processes, advocating for standard work, system accuracy, and proper transactional behavior across functional teams.
  • Establish, maintain, and govern material location, build point, and status data within the ERP system, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and traceability in collaboration with responsible departments.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, and Supply Chain leadership to proactively identify material risks, constraints, and gaps, and drive corrective actions through defined escalation paths.
  • Support the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to material readiness, ERP accuracy, schedule adherence, and inventory health.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional reviews to address open material issues, ERP process gaps, and action plans, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.
  • Contribute to the design, documentation, and refinement of material and ERP-related processes to improve scalability, clarity, and operational discipline.
  • Participate in and support strategic initiatives and special projects within the Material Operations organization, including ERP optimization and process transformation efforts.
