About The Position

Daifuku Airport America Corporation is a subsidiary of Daifuku North America, a group company of Daifuku in Japan, which is the largest material handling company in the world. Our advanced systems move everything from car bodies at auto plants to luggage at airports to packaged goods at warehouses. We are known as experts in engineering, manufacturing, and servicing innovative automated materials handling systems including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls. The company is currently seeking an experienced Material Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of arithmetic and its applications.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air and road including the relative costs and benefits.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • High School Diploma or 2 - 5 years experience in a design to order manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products
  • Experience with SAP software
  • Must sign Webb’s Employee Invention, Non-solicitation, Non-Compete and Confidential Information Agreement
  • Constantly move/traverse throughout the shop to access office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery
  • Constantly communicate with others through talking/hearing
  • Constantly read/identify/assess forms and correspondence

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of SAP preferred but will train.
  • training provided for ISO Internal Auditor.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Maintain inventory system.
  • Oversee receipt and dispatching of material in warehouse.
  • Perform cycle counts and adjustments as required.
  • Work with Plant Supervision to ensure material is on hand and inventory levels accurate.
  • Follow up on work in process to ensure conformation of materials procedures.
  • Assists with shipment of orders as required.
  • Backup for Merchandise Shipping as required.
  • Work with and direct Receiving efforts to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Schedule and ship merchandise orders.
  • Perform lookups to see if parts are in and if assembly is required, follow up and ensure delivery to customers.
  • Work closely and lead Receiving person, also work as backup to Receiving, stagger lunch/break hours to continue receiving during breaks and lunch.
  • Maintain steel allocating/kitting program. Analyze errors, plan and implement solutions, working with the shop as required, and help with process improvement.
  • Facilitate steel inventory (sheet steel and full length material for cut to size parts). Analyze counts and offer insight to possible causes, determine corrective action if required, and implement changes.
  • Facilitate daily cycle count. Analyze counts and offer insight on problem causes.
  • Manually kit steel if required.
  • Prepare CCIT sheets for shop. Pair with coordinating inspection sheets.
  • Kit motors after wiring department physically takes material.
  • Perform miscellaneous part adjustments from cut/saw area. Manually kit material as it is used when possible due to move ticket/shop router structure. Work with shop on large drop issues.
  • Work as team leader for receiving/shop materials personnel or other shop personal as required.
  • Coordinate incoming inspections with receiving department and QA.
  • Work closely with ISO leader in plant, act as ISO Internal Auditor as required. (training provided)

  • Set up steel cycle counts as needed. Enter counts into ERP system.
  • Perform other work related duties as required.
