About The Position

The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement, accountability, and documentation of Army equipment and materiel at a contractor-managed equipment turn-in site. This role ensures smooth flow of equipment through the turn-in process, compliance with Army supply regulations and contract requirements, and accurate updates to logistics systems. The Material Coordinator works closely with supply, warehousing, and transportation staff to ensure all equipment is received, classified, staged, and processed for accountability and disposition.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years of logistics, supply, or materiel management experience.
  • Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience in equipment turn-in or supply support activities (SSA) strongly preferred.
  • Army supply regulations: AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1.
  • Army logistics systems: GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, TC-AIMS II.
  • Familiarity with Army documentation and condition coding requirements.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and process Army supply documentation.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills with Army units and contractor staff.
  • Ability to operate or coordinate safe use of MHE.
  • A Real ID will be required.
  • Must be able to travel when required.

  • Associate’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the receipt, staging, and movement of equipment turned in by Army units.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and prioritization of items for inspection, accountability, and storage.
  • Track status of turn-ins from initial receipt through final disposition.
  • Support high-volume, mass turn-in operations by managing workflow and resource allocation.
  • Review and validate supply documents such as DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts, and condition codes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
  • Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff for storage, location management, and retrieval of equipment.
  • Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, and HAZMAT items.
  • Monitor availability and safe use of material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Work with transportation staff to schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare cargo movement requests, shipping documentation, and load plans in accordance with Army and DTR standards.
  • Ensure accountability during loading, movement, and offloading of equipment.
  • Assist unit supply personnel during turn-in to resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractor site staff, Army units, and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).
  • Provide responsive customer service to supported units while maintaining compliance.
