About The Position

Technica is seeking to hire a Material Coordinator, Hazmat, to support operations at Fort Riley. This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions. Requirements

  • 3 years of logistics experience in U.S. Army logistics or transportation procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
  • High School Diploma / GED.
  • Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 Investigation result and obtain and maintain a CAC.
  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ASP operation services for AE stock control, inventory, requisition, stock accounting, receiving, shipment and warehouseing tasks to include but not limited to, packaging, blocking, bracing, policing and securing magazines, fire prevention, fire mitigation, routine maintenance of real property and demilitarization (DEMIL) of selected ammunition residue, components and inert and dummy ammunition.
  • Provide inspection services for all assigned ASP locations, ammunition transfer and holding points (ATHP) and load storage areas to include visual (physical) inspections, damage in transit (DIT), receipt inspections (RI) and periodic inspections (PI).
  • Assist in the AE logistics, safety functions, tests, readiness inspections and quality control activities under the technical guidance of QASAS or designee.
  • Prepare and generate documentation for Government QASAS approval, input data, recommend ammunition classification, reclassification (as applicable), verify conditions of AE, use Munitions History Program (MHP) and perform other duties as required to support mission requirements.
  • Reviews issue/draw, turn-in schedules and confers with department supervisors and Military Liaison to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and forecasted availability of ammunition.
  • Arranges for magazine transfer of materials to meet utilization schedules, and with department supervisors for issue or turn-in.
  • Compiles report of quantity and type of ammunition on hand, prepares for move or transport material from one location to another, using hand or industrial truck.
  • May compile perpetual production records in order to locate ammunition in process of issuing, using manual or computerized system, and maintains stock records.
