About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Material Controller 1st Shift at our Jackson, MS plant. The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. The hourly rate for this position is $20.05 per hour. The hours for first shift are as follows: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
  • Minimum of 2 years prior work experience required
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Jackson, MS will be considered. Acitve Duty military are exempt from this requirement

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in business, Accounting, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field from an accredited post-secondary college or school
  • Fork-lift driver experience
  • Mechanical parts knowledge including the ability to recognize part material and family
  • Good attendance record
  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, and/or military environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package units, components, parts and assemblies for shipment
  • Ensure all shipments meet sales order requirements to ensure proper amounts, identification, correct ship dates, and correct materials are present
  • Prepare shipping labels via use of computer system and internal and freight carrier label/bill-of-leading computer systems.
  • Check incoming shipment bills of lading and reconcile supplier receipts to purchase orders requirements
  • Receive incoming product to the plant's perpetual inventory management system
  • Perform cleaning tank operations as defined by the process plan
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area to required standard
  • Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and work-rules
  • Perform periodic cycle counting of parts to ensure bin accuracy
  • Perform computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Load, unload, and move parts through facility on frequent basis. Some occasional heavy lifting (60 lbs.) may be required
  • Perform other duties as required within the job classification
  • Notify supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications observable in the normal course of performing duties such as quantity and work order packages
  • Perform operator defined 5S/TPM (Total preventative Maintenance) tasks as required
