About The Position

This position is based at the Quintana LQF and/or the PTF site with frequent travel to off-site locations as required. This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid, unexpired driver license at all times in order to perform the essential functions of the job. This role includes routine execution of tasks associated with planning and requisitioning requirements for the business, to enable obtaining, and to provide the correct material and services through the requisitioning and related processes.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Three (3) years SAP Administration - procurement/materials management-related experience
  • Coordinating and Expediting the flow of materials
  • Proficient in material sourcing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Possess familiarity with SAP Material Management (MM), Finance (Fl) and (PM) Plant Maintenance modules and Work Order management experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP in the oil and gas industry
  • Familiar in the sourcing of materials from various vendors.
  • Strong PC skills to perform proper documentation and reporting and should be familiar with and able to use and be competent in using MS Office programs, especially Excel and Word, Excel, Visio, and Project
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary with oral and written communications
  • Active learner and a self-starter/motivated
  • Understanding of vendor/equipment supplied data sheets and drawings
  • The employee must have the ability to drive a motor vehicle in order to perform the duties required at all FLNG locations. This includes vehicles and forklifts.
  • Maintain tight security and control over the warehouse and contents
  • Accountable for accurate record keeping and transactions

  • Team player and able to work in a high-stress and fast- paced environment

  • Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions
  • Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five (5) years procurement-related experience
  • knowledge of oil and gas, petrochemical, construction-related products
  • SAP MM Systems experience, SAP Procure to Pay process

Responsibilities

  • Supports the business groups in the creation and management of Purchase Requisitions within the SAP system
  • Handles the creation of both planned requisitions and also critical and emergency requisition requests
  • Supports the management of multiple activities across the lifecycle of the subsequent Purchase Order including raising requisitions, amending requisitions, reporting, receiving, issue resolution and close out working closely with Buyers.
  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials within or between departments according to the requirements
  • Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed material and/or rental changes
  • Performs various control activities including the gathering and filing of records, reporting use of materials, monitoring internal orders, and advising/posting schedules of materials reserved and/or on order
  • Performs SAP system searches for vendor, material, MRP, requisition, contract, and purchase orders
  • Confers with department technicians, supervisors and leads to determine the rental and/or material requirements
  • Competitive sourcing of materials from vendors and manufacturers.
  • Researching, seeking, and securing alternative sources of supply
  • Identifies, tracks, and expedites material orders.
  • Assists with creation and setup of stock/non-stock materials.
  • Tracks and coordinates the maintenance of rental units.
  • Ordering of plant gasses and fuel as requested.
  • Facilitating payment through invoice approval and processing
  • Other duties assigned and deemed necessary by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Experience in plant shutdown/turnaround activities including material reservations, resource allocation, and assisting with planning and scheduling needs
  • Works closely with the Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure efficient inventory management, minimize stockouts, and to reduce excess inventory.
